Dev Patel's Monkey Man Soundtrack was captivating with diverse sounds throughout the 32 tracked album.
MOVIES
I recently saw Dev Patel's new action revenge film Monkey Man, which was visually thrilling with artful storytelling. I left the theater with mixed reactions. However, was very glad I supported the film. One of the main elements that stood out to me while watching the film was the soundtrack which had a very diverse sound that was woven perfectly throughout the film to intensify the action and drama of the piece.
The Monkey Man soundtrack released by Back Lot Music, was composed mainly of original music by Australian singer-songwriter Jed Kurzel. It was also a lovely treat to learn that some of the film's cast members made special musical appearances on the album. Film stars Sharlto Copley, Pitobash, Sobhita Dhulipala, Vipin Sharma, Adithi Kalkunte, Ashwini Kalsekar, Sikandar Kher and Makarand Deshpande and Dev Patel himself. I also enjoyed discovering music by FaceSoul whose eerie song Grow played during the end credits of Monkey Man. FaceSoul is not listed on the soundtrack. However, I thought to make a notable mention because he is a kool artist to get to know.
